Announcement of New
NIFT Centres
All efforts are being made by NIFT to ensure the
commencement of New NIFT Centres in India in the following
cities:
1. Kannur (Kerala)
2. Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh)
3. Shillong (Meghalaya)
4. Patna (Bihar)

The Centres are expected to be opened from the Academic
session beginning from August, 2008. At these centres,
arrangements for Academic Campus, 100% in house accommodation
in NIFT arranged hostels of students enrolled and admitted to
these Centres will be ensured. All or any of the centre will
only commence, and admission will be given to students only
when all the above facilities are completed to the full
satisfaction of NIFT and entire infrastructure for smooth
function is in place.
The highest academic standard at these all Centres will
also be maintained through placement of
experienced and competent faculty by
relocating the existing faculty from other NIFT centres.
Facilities :
" Transport - Bus service to transport students
from Hostel to NIFT will be made available.
" Canteen - A well ventilated, clean &
hygienic canteen will be made available in the Campus where
subsidized food will be provided to the students.
" Hostel - Comfortable hostel rooms with bed,
cupboards, good toilet facilities, long distance communication
facilities including internet, E-mail access and found the
clock security and vigil will be the prime concern at each
Centre.
" Medical - Doctor will also be available for
any medical assistance.
The facilities for boys & girls will be set up in the
separate buildings. Our staff will provide a great attention
towards the health, hygiene, house keeping and diet, while
students leaders ensure discipline and punctuality.
Fee Structure :
The existing fee structure will apply to the students
admitted in these programmes.
How to reach Kannur :
This Centre is located 100 km. away from the main city of
Calicut.
By Train : Kannur is well connected and serviced by
rail to major cities like Kozhikode, Mangalore, Kochi,
Thiruvananthapuram, Bangalore, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata.
Nearest International Airport - Kozhikode (Calicut).
How to reach Shillong :
This centre is located 100 km. away from the main city of
Guwahati. Shillong can be reached by the direct train to
Guwahati. From Guwahati we can reach Shillong by road in 2 ½
hours. A subsidized helicopter service from Guwahati to
Shillong is also available. In addition to direct air link
from Kolkata also exists.
How to reach Bhopal :
Bhopal is well connected by train and air. Bhopal can be
reached by train from all major cities of India.
How to reach Patna :
Patna can be reached by train or air from Delhi and other
major cities of India.
