Workshop on Green Fashion  “Environmental Concern & Solutions in Fashion, Textile & Product Design” by Ms. Janice Everett

Green Fashion--- is one such five days workshop starting from 15 th Feb‘08 aiming at reviewing the evolution of green movement in fashion and the ways to work with sustainability issues of today. Hence its important for the garment and textile manufacturers , retailers and designers to update themselves and prepare for the coming environmental issues and concerns.

This workshop aims to discuss, deliberate and communicates the way in which the future trends evolve and manifest in the fashion and home markets mainly in USA and Europe in respect to ‘green revolution’.

Course Contents

Introduction:

As we all are aware of one of the most alarming concerns to mankind is Global Warming and all the world industries are crafting solutions world wide in this direction, thus textile and fashion industry  can not remain untouched.

Aim and Objectives:

To understand design sustainability

To understand limitations and application of organic design.

Create awareness regarding resource management.

Understand- Reduse /Reuse/Recycle.

Anchor : Ms. Janice Everett, is a designer and fashion stylist to fashion and home textiles markets worldwide.

She is a New York based trend and design consultant with majority of clients in USA , UK , Switzerland and India from more than two decades. She has lectured & conducted courses in merchandising, fashion & textile design at F.I.T & Parsons in USA , NIFT, NID in India and Southampton University , Brighton Polytechnic & Royal Collage of Art in U.K.                                                                                                    

The Fee is to be paid by bank Demand - draft in favor of “National Institute of Fashion Technology, New Delhi ” at the time of submission of application/registration form

Eligibility: 10+2 and minimum 2 yrs. working experience is preferred.
