BACHELOR OF FASHION TECHNOLOGY (COMMUNICATION DESIGN)

A reflection of India ’s upbeat economic mood, the Fashion and Lifestyle industry is one of the most vibrant and dynamic industry sectors today. The increasingly competitive market environment is seeing an exponential rise in the number of domestic and international brands, designers, malls and other retail formats, besides multiple avenues for brand-promotion. As a result, in addition to the actual products and services on offer, the retail experiences associated with these products must also be designed with immense creative ingenuity and pragmatism such that they are able to create and sustain unique brand identities as well as boost the visibility of the players. It is therefore critical to the success of any brand that it extends its design ethos to all aspects of its communication for maximum impact. Fashion Communication addresses this need of the industry, providing communication solutions for the Fashion and Lifestyle industry through five effective pathways:

Graphic Design: Using a strong visual language to design logos, packaging, office stationary and overall corporate identity

Visual Merchandising: Space Design for retail outlets, window displays and exhibition design

Styling and Photography: Styling and creative photography for the fashion and lifestyle industry

Fashion Journalism: Informed, intelligent and well-researched journalism on fashion and lifestyle based issues

Fashion Advertising and Public Relations: Advertising and PR solutions for the fashion and lifestyle industry
